If you're traveling by car, take NC-12 South from Nags Head. Continue on NC-12 for approximately 18 miles. You will pass through the towns of South Nags Head and Hatteras. Keep an eye out for the signs directing you to Rodanthe. When you reach Rodanthe, the North Beach Campground will be on your left at 23781 North Carolina Hwy 12. Look for the campground entrance sign as you approach.

For those using public transportation, start by taking the Dare County Public Transit (DCP) bus from your location in the Outer Banks to the nearest stop on NC-12. Depending on where you're starting from, you may need to transfer buses at the Nags Head or Hatteras stop. Once you reach the bus stop closest to Rodanthe, disembark and walk south on NC-12 for about 0.5 miles. North Beach Campground will be on your right at 23781 North Carolina Hwy 12.
