Getting There

  • Car

    From the center of Pisgah National Forest, make your way to US-276 N. Continue on US-276 N for approximately 14 miles. Turn left onto NC-181 N and follow it for about 8 miles until you reach the town of Blowing Rock. In Blowing Rock, turn right onto The Rock Rd. Continue for about 1 mile; The Blowing Rock will be on your left at 432 The Rock Rd, Blowing Rock, NC 28605. There is a parking fee of $10 per vehicle for entry.

  • Public Transportation

    If you are using public transportation, take a bus from Asheville to Boone. From Boone, you can catch a local shuttle service or taxi to Blowing Rock. Upon arriving in Blowing Rock, walk to The Rock Rd, and follow the signs to The Blowing Rock, which is about a mile away from the center of town.   • Bicycling

    If you prefer to bicycle, you can start from the nearby Greenway Trail in Boone. Follow the trail until you reach the intersection with NC-321.
