If you're driving from any point in Pisgah National Forest, head southeast on US-276 S. Continue for approximately 15 miles until you reach the intersection with US-70 E. Turn right onto US-70 E and follow it for about 10 miles. When you reach Black Mountain, take the exit for NC-9 S. Continue on NC-9 S for about 1 mile, then turn left onto W State St. The Swannanoa Valley Museum & History Center will be on your left at 223 W State St, Black Mountain, NC 28711. Look for the museum sign; parking is available nearby.
