Getting There

  • Car

    If you are starting from the Uwharrie National Forest, take the NC-109 South towards Asheboro. Continue on NC-109 for approximately 30 miles until you reach the intersection with US-64. Take a left onto US-64 East and follow it for about 15 miles. Merge onto I-26 West towards Asheville. After about 20 miles, take exit 40 for US-25 South towards Hendersonville. Continue on US-25 South for about 15 miles. Take exit 53A to merge onto US-64 West towards Brevard. Follow US-64 for about 10 miles until you see signs for DuPont State Recreational Forest. Turn onto Staton Rd, and you will arrive at the entrance to DuPont State Recreational Forest.
