From Uwharrie National Forest, head southeast on NC-49 S towards Asheboro. Continue on NC-49 S for approximately 20 miles until you reach the intersection with US-52. Turn left onto US-52 N and drive for about 22 miles. The Pee Dee National Wildlife Refuge will be on your right at 5770 US-52 North, Wadesboro, NC 28170. Look for the signage indicating the entrance to the refuge.

Once in Wadesboro, you will need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to reach the Pee Dee National Wildlife Refuge at 5770 US-52 North, Wadesboro, NC 28170.

For cyclists, you can follow the same route as the car option. Start by cycling southeast on NC-49 S. After approximately 20 miles, turn left onto US-52 N. Continue cycling for about 22 miles until you reach the Pee Dee National Wildlife Refuge on your right. Ensure to wear a helmet and follow all traffic laws for safety. Be prepared for a long ride, as the total distance is around 42 miles.
