If you are already in Uwharrie National Forest, head southeast on NC-109 S. Continue for approximately 10 miles until you reach the town of Troy. Once you are in Troy, look for signs directing you to Roy J. Maness Nature Preserve. The preserve is located just off NC-109; turn onto a local road leading into the preserve. There is no entry fee for the nature preserve, and ample parking is available on site.

Upon arriving at the Troy bus station, you will need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service (like Uber or Lyft) to reach Roy J. Maness Nature Preserve. The distance from the bus station to the preserve is about 5 miles.
