If you are starting from the Winston-Salem Visitor Center located at 200 Brookstown Ave, walk north on Brookstown Ave toward 4th St. Turn left onto 4th St and continue walking for about 0.3 miles. You will reach the intersection with Main St. Turn right onto Main St and continue for another 0.2 miles. The GFWC-NC Historical Marker will be at the intersection of Main St and Cemetery St on your left.

From the Winston-Salem Visitor Center, walk to the nearest bus stop on Brookstown Ave at 4th St. Take bus route 99 (Winston-Salem Transit Authority) heading toward the downtown area. Get off at the 'Main St at Cemetery St' stop. The GFWC-NC Historical Marker is located just a short walk from the bus stop at the intersection of Main St and Cemetery St.
