Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car from the Badlands National Park area, take SD-240 West (Badlands Loop Road) towards Wall, SD. Continue on SD-240 until you reach the intersection with US-34. Turn left onto US-34 and drive for about 10 miles. Then, turn right onto SD-34 and continue straight until you see signs for Delta-01 Launch Control Facility. The facility is located at approximately 43.8776407 latitude and -101.9609102 longitude.

• Public Transportation

  Public transportation options are limited in this remote area. However, you can take a Greyhound bus from Rapid City to Wall, SD. Once you arrive in Wall, you will need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to get to the Delta-01 Launch Control Facility, as it is approximately 10 miles from Wall. Be sure to check the schedule for the Greyhound bus and plan accordingly, as the service may not be frequent.

• Bicycle

  For the adventurous, biking is an option! If you have a bicycle, you can travel from Badlands National Park to the Delta-01 Launch Control Facility. Take SD-240 West and follow the same route as mentioned for cars. It is approximately a 10-mile ride, so be prepared for the distance and ensure you have enough water and supplies for the journey.

• Walking

  Walking to the Delta-01 Launch Control Facility from Badlands is not advisable due to the distance and lack of pedestrian pathways. If you are determined to walk, you will need to follow the same route as cars along SD-240 and US-34. However, ensure you have adequate supplies, and consider arranging for a pickup at some point along the way.
