To reach the Red River Zoo via public transportation, start by locating the nearest bus stop. If you are in downtown Fargo, head to the main bus terminal at 2nd Ave N & 4th St N. Board the Route 17 bus heading south. Remain on the bus for about 20 minutes until you reach the stop at 23rd Ave S & 45th St S. From there, you will need to walk approximately 0.5 miles east along 23rd Ave S until you reach the entrance of the Red River Zoo, located at 4255 23rd Ave S. The zoo will be on your left side.

Bicycle
If you prefer to bike, rent a bike from one of the local bike-sharing services available in Fargo. Start on Main Avenue heading west, then turn south onto University Drive N. Continue straight until you reach 23rd Ave S. Turn right and bike east along 23rd Ave S for roughly 1.5 miles until you reach the Red River Zoo. There are bike racks available at the zoo for you to secure your bicycle.

If you are close enough to the Red River Zoo, walking is a great option. If you are near the Fargo Theatre, head south on Broadway N until you reach 1st Ave N. Turn left onto 1st Ave N and continue until you reach University Drive N. From there, turn right and walk south until you reach 23rd Ave S. Turn left and walk east for approximately 1.5 miles. The Red River Zoo will be on your left at 4255 23rd Ave S.
