Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving from within Fort Abraham Lincoln State Park, start by heading southeast on Fort Lincoln Road toward the exit of the park. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Highway 1806. Turn left onto Highway 1806 and follow it north for about 5 miles. Then, take the exit toward Mandan. Continue on 8th Ave SE for approximately 1 mile, and you will see Dog Town Dog Park on your left at 908 8th Ave SE, Mandan, ND 58554.

• Public Transportation

  For those using public transportation, your first step is to reach the nearest bus stop located at the entrance of Fort Abraham Lincoln State Park. From there, take the bus heading towards Mandan. You may need to transfer buses at downtown Mandan. Once in Mandan, walk approximately 0.5 miles east on 8th Ave SE to reach Dog Town Dog Park, located at 908 8th Ave SE, Mandan, ND 58554.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer to bike, start at the visitor center in Fort Abraham Lincoln State Park. Follow Fort Lincoln Road southeast out of the park, and then turn left onto Highway 1806. Continue to the intersection with 8th Ave SE, and take a right turn. After biking for about 1 mile, you will arrive at Dog Town Dog Park, located at 908 8th Ave SE, Mandan, ND 58554. Ensure you wear a helmet and follow local traffic rules.

• Walking

  If you are close enough within Fort Abraham Lincoln State Park and wish to walk, exit the park via Fort Lincoln Road heading southeast. Walk along Fort Lincoln Road until you reach Highway 1806. Cross at the designated pedestrian crossing and walk north on Highway 1806. After about 5 miles, turn right onto 8th Ave SE and walk for another mile to reach Dog Town Dog Park at 908 8th Ave SE, Mandan, ND 58554.
