    If you're starting from any point in Lake Sakakawea, head south on ND-200 until you reach the junction with US-85. Turn right onto US-85 South and continue for approximately 45 miles. As you approach the town of Medora, take exit 24 toward Medora. Follow the signs to Badlands Overlook. The overlook is located approximately 6 miles northwest of Medora off of the scenic loop road within Theodore Roosevelt National Park. There is an entrance fee of $30 per vehicle for a 7-day pass to access the park.
