From there, turn left and continue walking to the edge of town. Follow the path along the river until you reach the intersection with ND-1806. Cross the road and head north. Continue walking on ND-1806 for approximately 3 miles until you reach the Fort Mandan Overlook State Historic Site, located on Unnamed Road, Washburn, ND 58577.

    Starting from downtown Mandan, head north on Main St towards 3rd Ave NW. Turn left onto 3rd Ave NW and bike along the riverfront trail. Follow the trail until it merges with ND-1806. Continue biking on ND-1806 for about 3 miles, where you will find the Fort Mandan Overlook State Historic Site on your left at Unnamed Road, Washburn, ND 58577.
