If you are driving from Fargo, ND, take I-94 W towards Bismarck. After approximately 180 miles, take exit 161 for US-83 N toward Minot. Continue on US-83 N for about 25 miles, then take exit 152 toward Washburn. Follow the signs to Washburn and then take County Road 13 to the Unnamed Road. The Fort Mandan Overlook State Historic Site will be on your left. Parking is available on-site, and there are no entrance fees.
