Car
From the center of the Turtle Mountains, head east on ND-5 toward Cavalier. Continue on ND-5 for approximately 15 miles. You will see signs for Icelandic State Park as you approach. The park entrance is located at 13571 ND-5, Cavalier, ND 58220. There is a parking fee of $7 per vehicle for day use, so be prepared with cash or a card.
Public Transportation
Currently, there is limited public transportation available directly to Icelandic State Park. However, you can take a bus to the nearest city, Cavalier. From there, you may need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to reach the park. The distance from Cavalier to the park entrance is about 2 miles, so a taxi or rideshare would be the most convenient option.
