Getting there

Car

If you are driving, start from Kristiansand city center. Head east on Tordenskjolds gate and follow the signs for E39. Merge onto E39 and continue for approximately 9 kilometers. Take the exit toward Randesund and follow the local road signs for Randøya fort. You will have to drive through a residential area before reaching the parking area near the fort. There is no cost for parking.

Public Transportation

From Kristiansand bus station, take bus number 1 towards Randesund. The bus ride will take about 30 minutes. Get off at the Randesund stop. From there, you'll need to walk approximately 2 kilometers to reach Randøya fort. Follow the road signs towards Randøya, and you'll enjoy a scenic walk. The bus fare is approximately 50 NOK.

Ferry

If you are near a coastal area, you can also consider taking a ferry from Kristiansand harbor to Randøya. Check the local ferry schedules as they may vary. The ferry ride offers beautiful views of the coastline and takes around 15 minutes. There is a fare for the ferry, typically around 70 NOK for a one-way ticket.
