Car
If you're traveling by car, start your journey from Kristiansand. Take the E39 highway northbound towards Mandal. After approximately 42 km, take the exit towards Mandal (Route 460). Continue on Route 460 until you reach Mandal. Once in Mandal, follow signs to Neseveien. The lighthouse is located at Neseveien 13, 4514 Mandal. There is parking available near the lighthouse.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, start by taking a bus from Kristiansand to Mandal. Buses operated by Agder Kollektivtrafikk run frequently between these two cities. Once you arrive at Mandal bus station, you can either walk to the lighthouse (approximately 4 km) or take a taxi. To walk, head towards Neseveien, following local signage. If opting for a taxi, it will take around 10 minutes to reach the lighthouse.
Walking
If you are in Mandal and prefer walking, the lighthouse is about a 4 km walk from the center of the town. From the town center, make your way to Neseveien, and follow it directly to the lighthouse. The walk is scenic and allows you to enjoy the coastal views.
Taxi
If you prefer a direct and quick method from Mandal city center, consider taking a taxi to Ryvingen Lighthouse. Taxi services are readily available, and the ride will take approximately 10 minutes, costing around 200-300 NOK depending on traffic.
