Car
If you are driving from Kristiansand, take the E39 highway north towards Mandal. After approximately 50 km, take the exit for Route 9 towards Byglandsfjord. Continue on Route 9 for about 30 km until you reach Byglandsfjord. Once in Byglandsfjord, follow the signs to Syrtveitfossane, which is located at coordinates 58.6406° N, 7.8086° E. There is free parking available near the attraction.
Public Transportation
From Kristiansand, you can take a bus operated by Agder Kollektivtrafikk to Byglandsfjord. The journey takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on connections. Once you arrive at Byglandsfjord, you may need to walk approximately 2 km to reach Syrtveitfossane. Be sure to check the local bus schedule for the most accurate timings and connections. The bus fare costs around 100 NOK one way.
Walking
If you are already in Byglandsfjord and prefer to walk, head towards the northern end of the village. Follow the road signs leading to Syrtveitfossane. The walk is scenic and will take approximately 25-30 minutes. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes, as the terrain may be uneven in some areas.
