Car
From any point in Akershus, head towards the E6 highway. If you're in a smaller town, follow the signs to Oslo. Once you are on the E6, follow the signs to Oslo city center. As you approach Oslo, take the exit towards the city center and merge onto the Ring 1 road. Continue on Ring 1 until you reach the intersection with Bislett. Turn onto Bislett and follow it until you reach Frederiks gate. Turn left onto Frederiks gate, and the Historical Museum will be on your right at number 2. There is limited parking available nearby, so be prepared to park in a garage or on the street.
Public Transportation
If you are using public transportation, make your way to the nearest train station or bus stop in Akershus. Take the train to Oslo Central Station (Oslo S). Once you arrive at Oslo S, exit the station and head towards Jernbanetorget. From Jernbanetorget, take tram line 17 or 18 towards Rikshospitalet. Get off at the Bislett stop. From there, walk down Bislett until you reach Frederiks gate. Turn left onto Frederiks gate, and the Historical Museum will be located at number 2 on your right.
