If you are traveling by car, start by heading towards Oslo from your location in Akershus. Use the E6 highway towards Oslo. Once you reach the city, follow the signs for Frogner. You will want to take the exit towards Bygdøy, which is well-marked. Continue on Bygdøy Allé until you reach the end of the road. From there, turn left onto Huk Aveny. Follow this road until you reach Huk Bay. There is parking available nearby, but be aware that there may be parking fees.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, start by taking a train from your nearest station in Akershus to Oslo Central Station (Oslo S). Once you arrive at Oslo S, transfer to tram line 12 towards Bygdøy. Get off at the last stop, which is near the Bygdøy peninsula. From the tram stop, you can either walk to Huk Bay, which is about a 20-minute walk, or take a bus (Bus 30 or 31) that will take you closer to Huk Bay. Make sure to check the Ruter app or website for the latest schedules and ticket prices. A single journey ticket costs approximately 38 NOK.
Bicycle
If you're feeling adventurous, you can also cycle to Huk Bay. From central Akershus, follow the bike paths that lead towards the Oslo city center. Once in Oslo, you can continue along the waterfront promenade towards Bygdøy. There are bike rental services available around Oslo if you do not have your own bicycle. The route is scenic and takes you through some of the city's beautiful parks and waterfront areas. Ensure you have a bike lock as you may want to secure your bike when exploring Huk Bay.
