Car
If you are driving from any location in Akershus, head towards Oslo. Use the E6 motorway, which connects Akershus and Oslo. Follow the signs for Oslo city center and take the exit towards Carl Berners plass. Continue straight on to Sars' gate, where the Botanical Garden is located at number 1. Ensure to check for parking availability in the area, as this can vary, and there may be fees associated with parking.
Public Transportation - Train
Start by taking a train from your nearest station in Akershus to Oslo Central Station (Oslo S). The journey typically takes about 30-40 minutes, depending on your starting point. Upon arrival at Oslo S, transfer to the T-bane (subway) line 5, 6, or 7 towards Sognsvann, Storo, or Ringen, respectively. Get off at the T-bane station called 'Grünerløkka' which is a short walk from the Botanical Garden. From the station, walk south on Søndre gate, then take a left on Sars' gate, and you will find the garden at number 1.
Public Transportation - Bus
If you prefer to take the bus, find your nearest bus stop in Akershus with routes heading to Oslo. You can take bus number 300, 400, or any bus that goes to Oslo Bus Terminal.
