Walking
From the city center of Ålesund, head towards the waterfront and locate the main street, Kirkegata. Walk along Kirkegata until you reach the junction with Storgata. Turn left onto Storgata and continue straight until you reach the corner of the street with a view of the Aksla mountain. Follow the signs leading towards 'Aksla' or 'Rundskue Viewpoint'. You will come across a path that leads up the hill. Follow the path, which will take you through a park and up a series of steps. Keep walking uphill until you reach the viewpoint, which will be clearly marked. The walk will take approximately 30-40 minutes.

From Ålesund city center, you can take the local bus (Bus Line 1) towards 'Aksla'. Board the bus at the nearest bus stop, which is typically located on the main square. The bus will take you closer to the base of Aksla. Get off at the stop called 'Aksla'. From there, follow the walking path that leads to Rundskue Viewpoint. The walk from the bus stop to the viewpoint will take around 15 minutes. Be sure to check the local bus schedule for the latest timings.
