From the city center of Ålesund, walk to the nearest bus stop. You can find one on Storgata street, which is just a few minutes' walk from the Town Square. Take bus number 620 towards Ellingsøy. The bus ride will take approximately 20 minutes. Get off at the 'Ellingsøy' stop. Once you get off, walk along Kvalsteinvegen for about 5 minutes, and you will see Ellingsøy church on your left.

Head to the nearby ferry terminal located at the harbor in Ålesund. Take the ferry to Ellingsøy, which operates regularly throughout the day. The ferry ride takes about 15 minutes. Once you arrive at the Ellingsøy ferry terminal, exit the terminal and walk straight ahead on Kvalsteinvegen for about 10 minutes until you reach Ellingsøy church, which will be on your right.

If you prefer to walk, start from the Town Square in Ålesund. Head towards the waterfront and find the path along the coast. Follow this path heading northeast towards Ellingsøy.
