Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Nordnes, head east towards the waterfront. Walk along the waterfront promenade for about 10 minutes. You will pass by the beautiful harbor views and can enjoy the fresh sea air. Keep an eye out for the signposts directing you towards Haakon Sheteligs plass, where the museum is located. Once you reach the end of the promenade, turn left onto Haakon Sheteligs plass, and you will find the Bergen Maritime Museum at Haakon Sheteligs plass 15.

    If you prefer to use public transport, find the nearest bus stop in Nordnes. You can take bus number 3 or 4 towards the city center. Get off at the stop 'Bergenhus Festning' which is approximately a 5-minute ride. From there, walk towards Haakon Sheteligs plass for about 7 minutes.
