Getting there

Public Transport

From the center of Bodø, walk to the nearest bus stop, which is located at 'Bodø Rådhus'. Board Bus Line 1 towards 'Kjerringvik'. Stay on the bus for approximately 15 minutes. Get off at the stop named 'Kjerringvik'. From there, you will see a marked trailhead that leads to Keiservarden. Follow the trail, which is well-maintained and takes about 1 to 1.5 hours to hike to the top.

Walking

If you prefer to walk, start from the Bodø city center and head towards the harbor area. Walk along the waterfront towards the east until you reach 'Festvåg'. From there, follow the signs towards 'Keiservarden'. The walking route will take approximately 2 to 3 hours, depending on your pace. Ensure you have proper hiking shoes and water for the journey.

Bicycle

For those who are more adventurous, you can rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops in Bodø. Cycle from the city center towards 'Kjerringvik', following the same route as the bus. Once you reach the trailhead for Keiservarden, park your bicycle and begin the hike to the summit. The bike ride will take around 20-30 minutes, and the hike will take an additional 1 to 1.5 hours.
