Car
If you're traveling by car, you can reach Torpo stave church by taking the E16 highway. From the center of Buskerud, head towards Nesbyen on the E16. After approximately 35 kilometers, take the exit towards Torpo. Follow the signs for Torpo, and you will arrive at the church located at 3579 Torpo. There is parking available near the church.
Public Transportation
To reach Torpo stave church via public transportation, take a bus from the Buskerud city center to Nesbyen. Bus services are operated by the 'Nettbuss' company. The journey takes about 1 hour. Once you arrive in Nesbyen, transfer to a local bus that goes to Torpo. Be sure to check the bus schedules in advance, as they may vary. The bus will drop you off near the church, which is a short walk from the bus stop.
Walking
If you're already in Torpo village, you can easily walk to the stave church. The church is located approximately 1 kilometer from the village center. Start at the main square in Torpo and head northwest on the main road. Follow the signs for the stave church; it's a pleasant walk that will take you about 15-20 minutes.
