If you're driving from Oslo, start by taking the E18 highway towards Drammen. Continue on the E18 for about 60 km until you reach the exit for Borre. Take the exit onto Route 19 towards Borre and follow the signs. Continue on Birkelyveien, and you will find The Borre Mounds located at Birkelyveien 9, 3182 Borre. There is free parking available nearby.
Public Transportation
To reach The Borre Mounds via public transport, start at the Oslo Central Station (Oslo S). Take a train towards Skien or Porsgrunn on the Vestfold Line. Get off at the Borre station, which is approximately a 1-hour ride. From the Borre station, it is about a 15-minute walk to The Borre Mounds. Follow the signs towards Birkelyveien, and you will reach the site. If you prefer not to walk, you can take a local taxi for a short ride, which should cost around 150-200 NOK.
