Car
If you are traveling by car, start your journey in the center of Geilo. Head southeast on Road E7 (also known as Rv7) towards Ustaoset. Continue for about 8 kilometers until you reach the junction with Road 40. Turn left onto Road 40 and follow it until you see signs for Normannsheiene. After approximately 4 kilometers, you will arrive at the parking area near Ustedalsfjorden Rundt. From there, follow the marked hiking trails to reach the scenic views of Normannsheiene.
Public Transportation
To reach Normannsheiene using public transportation, start at the Geilo bus station. Take a bus heading towards Ustaoset, which is operated by Vy. Make sure to check the schedule, as buses may not run frequently. After approximately 20 minutes, disembark at the Ustaoset stop. From there, you will need to walk around 1 kilometer along the road until you reach the entrance to the hiking trails leading to Normannsheiene. Ensure you wear comfortable hiking shoes, as the terrain can vary.
