From Hafjell, take the E6 highway southbound. After approximately 15 kilometers, take the exit towards Lillehammer. Continue onto Maihaugvegen. Garmo stavkirke is located at Maihaugvegen 1, 2609 Lillehammer. There is parking available near the museum.
Public Transportation
From Hafjell, walk to the nearest bus stop and catch the bus that goes to Lillehammer. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Lillehammer, you may need to walk approximately 1.5 kilometers to Maihaugvegen 1. Follow the signs towards Maihaugen museum, where Garmo stavkirke is located.
