Car
If you are driving, head towards Eidfjord, which is a small town located near the entrance to Hardangervidda National Park. From Eidfjord, take the road towards the direction of Rv7. Follow the signs for Rv7 and continue for about 12 kilometers until you reach the junction for the road leading to Vedalsfossen. There is a small parking area nearby where you can leave your car.
Public Transportation
If you are using public transportation, take a bus from larger cities such as Bergen or Oslo to Eidfjord. The bus service is operated by NOR-WAY Bussekspress. Once you arrive in Eidfjord, you may need to arrange for a taxi or check local bus schedules to reach the area near Vedalsfossen, as public transport options may be limited. The taxi fare from Eidfjord to the waterfall area is approximately 200-300 NOK.
Hiking
Once you have parked your car or arrived via taxi, you will need to hike to Vedalsfossen. The hike is approximately 3 kilometers from the parking area. Follow the marked trails that lead through the beautiful landscape, keeping an eye out for signs indicating the path to the waterfall. The terrain can be uneven, so wear sturdy shoes and be prepared for a moderate hike.
