Car
If you are traveling by car, start from Haugastøl, which is a central point in Hardangervidda National Park. From Haugastøl, head south on Rv7 (Route 7) for approximately 3 kilometers. You will see the signs for Bus View Point on your right. The parking area for the viewpoint is just off the road. Make sure to follow the speed limits and watch for any wildlife on the road.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take a bus from the nearest town, Geilo, to Haugastøl. The bus service is operated by Bus4You, and you can find schedules on their website. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the Haugastøl bus stop, you will need to walk approximately 3 kilometers along Rv7 towards the Bus View Point. Be aware that there may not be a designated pedestrian path, so exercise caution while walking along the roadside.
