If you are driving, start from Alvdal. Head southeast on the E6 highway. After approximately 10 km, take the exit towards Rv3. Continue on Rv3 for about 15 km until you reach the turnoff for Jutulhogget, which is located off an unnamed road. Follow the signs to Jutulhogget. There is no entry fee for accessing the area.
Public Transportation
To reach Jutulhogget using public transportation, take a bus from Alvdal to the nearest bus stop on Rv3. Once you arrive at the bus stop, which is approximately 15 km away from Jutulhogget, you will need to walk the remaining distance (about 4 km) to the attraction. It is advisable to check the bus schedule in advance as services may be limited, especially on weekends.
Walking
For those who are more adventurous and prefer trekking, from the bus stop on Rv3, you can walk towards Jutulhogget. Follow the signs for the scenic hiking trails leading to the attraction. Ensure you wear appropriate footwear and bring water, as the walk can take around 1.5 to 2 hours depending on your pace.
