If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Hovden. Head south on Hovdenvegen (road 9) and continue for approximately 1 km. You will see signs pointing towards Hegni. Turn right onto Hegni and follow the road for about 600 meters. The Hovden Jernvinnemuseum will be on your left at the address Hegni, 4755 Hovden i Setesdal. There is parking available on-site.
Public Transportation
If you prefer public transportation, check the local bus schedule as there may be services connecting Hovden to nearby towns. The closest bus stop is in Hovden center. From there, you might need to walk approximately 1.5 km to reach Hovden Jernvinnemuseum. You can walk south on Hovdenvegen, then take a right onto Hegni, following the road for 600 meters. Be sure to check if any local taxis are available for hire if you have heavy luggage.
Walking
If you are already in Hovden and prefer to walk, head south from the center of Hovden along Hovdenvegen. Continue walking for about 1 km, then turn right onto Hegni road. The museum is approximately 600 meters down this road on your left. This option is great for enjoying the scenic views of the area.
