Getting there

Car

If you're driving from the center of Hafjell, head southeast on Fv315 towards Øyer. Continue on Fv315 for about 3.5 kilometers until you reach the roundabout. Take the second exit onto Fv361. Stay on Fv361 for about 4 kilometers, and you will see a sign for Skjønsbergaksla on your left. Follow the road signs and park in the designated area. Note that parking may incur a fee, so check for any parking meters or pay stations.

Public Transportation

To reach Skjønsbergaksla via public transport, start at the Hafjell bus stop. Take bus number 201 towards Øyer. After approximately 10 minutes, get off at the Øyer stop. From there, you will need to walk approximately 1.5 kilometers along Fv361 in the direction of Skjønsbergaksla. There are no direct bus routes to the hiking area, so ensure you check the bus schedules ahead of time for accurate timings. A standard bus fare will apply.

Walking

If you are already in Hafjell and prefer walking, head towards Fv315 and follow the same route as if you were driving. It is about a 4.5-kilometer walk to Skjønsbergaksla, which may take around 1 hour. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and be ready for a bit of uphill walking as you approach the site.
