Car

If you are traveling by car, start from the nearest major city, Lillehammer. Head northwest on E6 for approximately 50 km until you reach the junction with Route 33. Take the exit toward Route 33 and continue for about 25 km. Look for signs leading to the town of Tessanden. Once in Tessanden, follow Unnamed Road for about 5 km. You will see signage indicating Hulderstigen as you approach the location. There are no tolls on this route.
Public Transportation

For those opting for public transportation, take a train from Oslo to Lillehammer, which takes about 2 hours. From Lillehammer, you can catch a local bus (Bus 215) towards Tessanden. This bus ride will take around 1 hour. Get off at the Tessanden stop and from there, it is a 5 km walk to Hulderstigen. Make sure to check the bus schedule in advance as services may be limited. The total cost for the train and bus will vary, but expect to pay around 400 NOK for the train ticket and 100 NOK for the bus.
Taxi or Ride-Sharing

If you prefer a more direct route after arriving in Lillehammer, consider taking a taxi or using a ride-sharing app. This will give you the flexibility to go directly to Hulderstigen without having to navigate public transportation.
