Car
If you are in the Lysefjord area and have access to a car, head towards Forsand. From the main road (E39), take the exit towards Forsand (this will be signposted). Once you enter Forsand, follow the road signs towards 'Fossånå fossen'. The waterfall is accessible via a short walking trail from the designated parking area. Make sure to park in the designated parking lot, as parking on the roadside is not permitted. The trail to Fossånå fossen is well-marked and takes approximately 20 minutes to walk.
Public Transportation
If you prefer public transportation, you can take a bus from Stavanger to Forsand. The bus service is operated by Kolumbus and runs regularly. Check the Kolumbus website for the latest schedule and fares (approximately NOK 100-150 one way). Once you arrive at Forsand, you can either walk to Fossånå fossen by following the main road and then the marked trail, which takes about 30 minutes, or you can check if there are local taxis available for hire to take you directly to the waterfall.
