Car
If you're traveling by car, start from the main road E39. Follow the signs for Lysebotn, and take the Fv500 road heading south towards Lysebotn. The drive is scenic and takes approximately 1 hour from the nearest city, Forsand. Keep an eye out for the turn-off for Lysebotn as it can be easy to miss. Once you reach Lysebotn village, continue on Fv500. Lysebotn Stiga will be located along this road. There are no tolls on this route.
Public Transportation
To reach Lysebotn Stiga via public transportation, take a bus from Stavanger to Forsand. The bus ride takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes. From Forsand, you'll need to take a ferry to Lysebotn, which takes around 1 hour. The ferry operates seasonally, so check the schedule beforehand. Once you arrive in Lysebotn, Lysebotn Stiga is accessible by walking along the Fv500 road. Be prepared for a 10-15 minute walk from the ferry terminal to reach the attraction.
Ferry
If you're already in Forsand, you can take a ferry directly to Lysebotn. The ferry service operates several times a day, but it's best to check the timetable in advance for seasonal schedules. The ferry fare is around 100 NOK for adults and 50 NOK for children. Upon arrival, follow Fv500 towards the Lysebotn Stiga, which is a short walk from the ferry dock.
