Car
If you're driving, head towards Geiranger from Ålesund, which is approximately a 2.5-hour drive. Follow E136 from Ålesund to the junction with Route 63, which leads you into the Geiranger area. Upon approaching Geiranger, turn onto Nibbevegen road. This road will take you directly to the Geiranger Skywalk at Dalsnibba. Note that Nibbevegen is a toll road, so be prepared for a fee. The panoramic views along the way make this drive particularly scenic.
Public Transportation
To reach Geiranger by public transportation, take a bus from Ålesund to Geiranger. The bus ride takes about 2.5 to 3 hours. Upon arriving in Geiranger, you will need to take a local bus or taxi to reach the Dalsnibba area. Be sure to check the local bus schedules, as they may vary seasonally. Once on Nibbevegen, you will have to pay the toll to access the road leading to the Geiranger Skywalk.
Taxi
For a more direct approach, consider taking a taxi from Geiranger village to Dalsnibba. This option is convenient if you prefer not to drive or navigate public transport. The taxi ride will take about 30 minutes, and fares can be higher due to the scenic nature of the route. Make sure to pre-arrange your taxi, especially during peak tourist seasons.
