Car
If you're traveling by car, start your journey in Ålesund, which is about 2.5 hours away from Nigardsbreen. Take E39 south towards Bergen. After about 120 km, take the exit toward Sogndal (Fv55). Continue on Fv55 for about 60 km until you reach Jostedal. Follow signs for Nigardsbreen, which will lead you to the parking area near the glacier. Please note that parking fees may apply. Make sure to check the weather and road conditions beforehand.

Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take a bus from Ålesund to Sogndal. You can use the Vy bus service, which runs several times a day. The journey takes about 3 hours. Once in Sogndal, transfer to a local bus heading towards Jostedal. This bus runs a limited schedule, so check the local timetable before your trip. The bus will drop you off close to the Nigardsbreen parking area. From there, it's a short walk to reach the glacier.

Hiking
If you prefer to hike after reaching the parking area, there are well-marked trails leading to various viewpoints of Nigardsbreen. The hike can take anywhere from 30 minutes to several hours depending on your chosen route and desired viewpoints. Be sure to wear appropriate footwear and bring water and snacks.
