Getting There

  • Car

    If you are starting from Ålesund, take the E136 highway heading northeast. Follow the signs for Molde and continue on E136 for approximately 90 kilometers. Once you reach the town of Åndalsnes, take a left onto Romsdalsvegen (County Road 63) which leads directly to Romsdalsfjorden. The drive should take about 1.5 hours. Be aware of potential tolls along E136.

  • Public Transportation (Bus)

    From Ålesund, take the bus from the Ålesund bus terminal to Molde. The bus ride takes around 1 hour and costs approximately NOK 150. Once in Molde, transfer to a bus heading to Åndalsnes. This leg of the journey takes about 1 hour and costs around NOK 100. Finally, from Åndalsnes, you can reach Romsdalsfjorden by walking or taking a local taxi for a short distance.
