Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car within Nordkapp, head towards E69 road. From the center of Nordkapp (Honningsvåg), follow the signs for E69. The North Portal of the North Cape Tunnel is located approximately 25 kilometers from Honningsvåg. Drive north along E69, enjoying the scenic views of the surrounding landscapes. Pay attention to road signs indicating the North Cape Tunnel. Note that there is a toll fee for the tunnel, which is approximately 250 NOK (Norwegian Kroner) for standard vehicles. Make sure to have this amount ready for the toll booth.

• Public Transportation

  For those using public transportation, check the local bus schedules from Honningsvåg to the North Cape area. Buses operate daily and will take you to the vicinity of the North Portal. Upon arriving at the bus stop near the North Cape Tunnel, you may have to walk approximately 2 kilometers to reach the North Portal. Ensure to check the latest bus schedules, as they can vary throughout the year. The bus fare should be around 100-150 NOK, depending on the route.

• Walking

  If you're already near the North Cape area, you can opt to walk to the North Portal. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes, as the terrain can be rugged in some areas. From the nearest bus stop, follow the signs for the North Cape Tunnel on E69. It's a straightforward walk, but plan for at least 30-45 minutes to cover the distance.
