Car
If you are traveling by car, start on the E6 highway heading south from Bodø or north from Trondheim, depending on your location in Nordland. Once you reach the city of Bergen, follow signs for E39 towards Stavanger. After approximately 10 km, take the exit toward Gamlehaugvegen from E39. Continue on Gamlehaugvegen for about 1.5 km until you reach Gamlehaugen, located at Gamlehaugvegen 10, 5230 Paradis. Parking is available near the entrance.
Public Transportation
To reach Gamlehaugen via public transport, take a bus from Bergen city center (Bus Terminal) towards Fana. You can check the schedules at the Skyss website. The bus ride takes approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the 'Gamlehaugvegen' stop. From there, it’s a short 10-minute walk to Gamlehaugen at Gamlehaugvegen 10. Be sure to check the bus times for your return trip, as services may vary throughout the day.
Taxi
For a more direct route, consider taking a taxi from Bergen city center to Gamlehaugen. The ride will take about 20 minutes and costs around NOK 300-400, depending on traffic. Be sure to confirm the fare with the driver before starting your journey.
