Car
If you are traveling by car, head towards Svolvær, which is located on the island of Austvågøy in the Lofoten archipelago. From the E6 highway, take the exit towards Lofast (Route 85) to cross the bridge to Lofoten. Continue on Route 85 until you reach the town of Svolvær. The address for Visit Lofoten is Torget 18, 8300 Svolvær. Look for the waterfront area as Visit Lofoten is located near the harbor. Parking is available nearby, but be aware there may be a fee depending on the location.
Public Transportation - Bus
For those using public transportation, take a bus from major towns in Nordland such as Bodø to Svolvær. The bus service is operated by Nordland fylkeskommune and usually takes about 3-4 hours. Make sure to check the bus schedule in advance, as the frequency may vary. Once you arrive at the Svolvær bus station, Visit Lofoten is within walking distance. It's about a 10-minute walk from the bus station; head towards the waterfront and follow the signs to Torget.
Ferry
If you're coming from Bodø, consider taking a ferry to Svolvær. The ferry ride offers stunning views of the fjords and takes approximately 3 hours. Upon arrival at Svolvær harbor, you can easily walk to Visit Lofoten, located at Torget 18, which is a short 5-minute walk from the ferry terminal. Check the ferry schedule in advance for departures and ticket prices.
Taxi or Ride-Sharing
If you prefer a more direct option, you can take a taxi or use a ride-sharing service from the Svolvær bus station or ferry terminal. This will cost more than public transport but can be more convenient if you have luggage. The taxi ride will take about 5 minutes to reach Visit Lofoten at Torget 18.
