Car
From Oppdal, take the E6 highway heading north. Continue on E6 for approximately 25 kilometers. Look for signs for Dovre National Park. You will need to exit at the Dovre junction and follow the signs towards Grimsdalsvegen. Drive along Grimsdalsvegen for about 10 kilometers until you reach the park entrance at Grimsdalsvegen 2138, 2662. Be aware that there is a toll fee of 100 NOK for the road leading to the park.

Public Transportation
Take the bus from Oppdal to Dovre. You can catch the bus at the Oppdal bus station. The bus route is typically run by Nor-Way Bussekspress and may require a transfer. Make sure to check the schedule as it may vary by season. Once you arrive in Dovre, you can either walk or take a taxi to Grimsdalsvegen 2138, 2662, which is approximately 5 kilometers from the bus stop. Keep in mind that the total cost for the bus ticket is around 200 NOK.

Combination (Car + Hiking)
If you are looking for a more adventurous route, consider driving part of the way and then hiking into the park. Start by driving along E6 as described above. Park your car at a designated parking area near Grimsdalsvegen. From there, you can hike into the park along established trails. This option allows you to enjoy the natural beauty more intimately, but be sure to wear appropriate hiking gear and bring supplies.
