There is limited parking available near the palace, so be prepared for parking fees which can range from NOK 20 to 50 per hour.

Start by taking a train from any station in Oppland that connects to the Oslo central railway system. For example, if you are in Lillehammer, take the train to Oslo S (Oslo Central Station). The train journey will take about 1.5 to 2 hours. Upon arriving at Oslo S, exit the station and walk towards the bus terminal or catch tram number 12 towards Majorstuen. Get off at the Nationaltheatret stop, which is a short walk from the Royal Palace.
