Walking
If you're starting from the Oslo Central Station (Oslo S), exit the station and head towards the main street, Jernbanetorget. Walk straight down Jernbanetorget until you reach Biskop Gunnerus' gate. Continue along this street until you reach the intersection with Karl Johans gate. Turn left onto Karl Johans gate, which is the main pedestrian street in Oslo. Continue walking straight until you see the Royal Palace on your left. From there, keep walking down Karl Johans gate, and then take a right onto Akershus festning. Follow the signs to the fortress.

From the Oslo Central Station (Oslo S), board tram line 12 towards Majorstuen. Get off at the stop named 'Aker Brygge'. Once you exit the tram, walk towards the waterfront and follow the path along the harbor. You will see signs pointing you towards Akershus Fortress. It’s a short walk from Aker Brygge along the waterfront to the fortress entrance.

From the Oslo Central Station (Oslo S), take bus number 54 towards 'Aker Brygge'. Get off at the stop named 'Aker Brygge'. After exiting the bus, walk towards the waterfront and follow the signs to Akershus Fortress. The fortress will be a short walk from the bus stop.
