Getting there

Public Transportation - Metro

From Oslo Central Station (Oslo S), take Metro Line 1 (Frognerseteren) or Line 2 (Lillestrøm) towards the National Theatre Station. Disembark at Nationaltheatret Station. Once you exit the station, head towards Slottsplassen, which is approximately a 10-minute walk. Follow the signs toward the Royal Palace (Det Kongelige Slott) and you will find Dronningdammen located in the palace gardens.

Public Transportation - Tram

From Oslo Central Station (Oslo S), you can also take Tram Line 12 (Majorstuen) or Line 19 (Aker Brygge) from the nearby tram stop, Jernbanetorget. Ride the tram for about 5-7 minutes and get off at the stop called 'Slottsparken.' From there, it is a short 5-minute walk to Dronningdammen, following the path through Slottsparken towards the Royal Palace.

Walking

If you're already in the city center, you can walk to Dronningdammen. Starting from Karl Johans gate, head towards the Royal Palace (Det Kongelige Slott). The walk will take approximately 15-20 minutes. Once you reach the palace, enter the park area, and you will find Dronningdammen within the beautiful gardens surrounding the palace.

Public Bus

From various points in Oslo, you can catch Bus 30 (Bygdøy) or Bus 31 (Majorstuen) to the stop 'Slottsparken.' From there, it’s a quick 5-minute walk to Dronningdammen. Just follow the signs to the Royal Palace, and you will find the dam in the adjacent gardens.
