Public Transport - Tram
If you are starting from Oslo Central Station (Oslo S), take tram line 11 or 12 towards Majorstuen or Rikshospitalet. You will need to get off at the stop called 'Grünerløkka'. The journey takes about 10 minutes. Once you step off the tram, walk straight for about 2 minutes, and you will reach the vibrant area of Grünerløkka, known for its cafés and parks.
Public Transport - Bus
From Oslo Central Station, you can take bus number 30 towards 'Munkedamsveien'. Get off at the stop 'Schweigaards gate'. From there, it’s about a 15-minute walk to Grünerløkka. Head south on Schweigaards gate, then turn left onto Tøyenbekken and continue walking until you reach Grünerløkka.
Walking
If you are in the city center, walk towards the Akerselva River. Start from the Oslo Opera House and head north along the riverbank. The scenic walk will take about 30 minutes. Once you reach the bridge at 'Nedre Foss', cross over to the east side of the river and continue walking straight until you reach Grünerløkka. This area is known for its artistic vibe and street life.
Public Transport - Metro
From Oslo Central Station (Oslo S), take Metro line 1 (Frognerseteren) or line 2 (Løren) towards 'Grorud'. Get off at the 'Tøyen' station. From there, it's a 10-minute walk to Grünerløkka. Exit the station, turn right, and follow the road until you reach Grünerløkka, a lively neighborhood filled with shops and eateries.
