Metro
To get to Nordmarka, start by walking to the nearest metro station, which is likely Torggata or Nationaltheatret, depending on your location in central Oslo. Board the metro line 1 (Frognerseteren) in the direction of Frognerseteren. Stay on the train for about 15-20 minutes. Get off at the Frognerseteren station. From there, you will find signs directing you to Nordmarka, which is a short walk away.
Bus
If you prefer to take a bus, find the nearest bus stop and catch bus number 21 towards 'Røa'. This bus will take you closer to the entrance of Nordmarka. Stay on the bus for approximately 30 minutes. Disembark at the 'Sognsvann' stop. From there, follow the signs leading you to the trails of Nordmarka, which is just a few minutes away on foot.
Walking
If you are in the central area of Oslo and prefer walking, head towards the Sognsvann area. You can take a pleasant stroll through the city. Walk north along St. Olavs gate, then turn left onto Bislett, continuing straight until you reach Sognsvann. This walk will take about 1 to 1.5 hours, depending on your pace, and will lead you directly to the beautiful trails of Nordmarka.
