Public Transport - Tram
If you are in the city center, board tram line 12 at Stortorvet. Ride for two stops and get off at the stop called 'Jernbanetorget'. From there, exit the tram and walk towards Karl Johans gate. The Oslo Cathedral is located a short 5-minute walk straight ahead at Karl Johans gate 11.
Public Transport - Bus
If you are near the National Theatre, take bus 30 or 31 from the bus stop 'Nationaltheatret'. Ride for 3 stops and get off at 'Stortorvet'. From the Stortorvet bus stop, walk straight along Karl Johans gate for about 5 minutes until you reach Oslo Cathedral at Karl Johans gate 11.
Walking
If you are already in the vicinity of the Oslo Opera House, you can enjoy a pleasant walk to the cathedral. Head west along the waterfront towards Aker Brygge, then continue walking until you reach Karl Johans gate. Turn left and walk straight for about 15 minutes. The cathedral will be on your right at Karl Johans gate 11.
Metro
If you are near a Metro station, take the Metro line 1 (Frognerseteren) or line 2 (Ellingsrudåsen) and get off at 'Jernbanetorget' station. After exiting the station, head towards the exit that leads to Karl Johans gate. Walk straight for about 5 minutes, and you will see the Oslo Cathedral at Karl Johans gate 11.
