Getting there

Car

If you're driving from the center of Østfold, take the E6 highway heading south. Continue on E6 for approximately 30 km until you reach the exit for Filtvet. Follow the signs for Filtvet and turn onto Stranda. Continue straight until you reach Filtvet Beach, which will be on your left. There is parking available near the beach, and it is generally free.

Public Transportation

Start by taking a train or bus from your location in Østfold to the nearest major station, which is either Moss or Sarpsborg. From Moss, board the bus route 100 towards Drøbak and get off at the Filtvet stop. From Sarpsborg, take bus route 100 to Moss and then transfer to the aforementioned bus route 100 towards Drøbak. The total journey may take around 1.5 to 2 hours depending on connections. Once you get off the bus at Filtvet, it's a short walk to Filtvet Beach.

Taxi or Rideshare

If you prefer a more direct route, consider taking a taxi or using a rideshare service. Simply provide the driver with the address: Stranda, 3480 Filtvet. This option offers convenience but can be more expensive, with fares typically ranging from 400 to 800 NOK depending on your starting location in Østfold.
